Plans are now well advanced for the 2018 Whanganui Opera Week and we are looking forward to the start which is the Lunchtime Recital on 10th January 2018

Students from across New Zealand join their internationally renowned Tutors and Répétiteurs at the Wanganui Collegiate School for two weeks intensive training of vocal and stagecraft skills. There are several events which the public have entry to. Please see our Events page for details.
Many well known operatic names with successful national and international careers attended the School including Simon O'Neill - who now revisits the School as tutor; the trio 'Sol3 Mio' came here over several years; Philip Rhodes attended the School and there are many more students who have progressed to study in the great opera houses of Europe and America.
Whanganui Opera Week again looks forward to welcoming you in January 2018 to the many events held in and around the city. Our plans are well advanced.
